now...

And now with the argument of nature vs.luxury debate.

Ok suddenly some people have realized that New Age music exists, so they discovered that meditation exists and suddenly they're nature lovers and vegan and what not.

OK it's a choice, I'm not stating all of them, but a few that I know personally are pissing me off, with their I'm better than you attitude. It's always biased. I eat healthy you eat junk so I'm better. I like nature you like luxury so I'm better. I exercise you're a couch potato so I'm better.

I wonder if there weren't so much publicity on how we should live, certain nowadays things wouldn't be so popular. I honestly suspect certain people wouldn't even care.

I have no issues with people living healthy, being vegan, liking nature, believing in God, not believing, I don't care what anyone does in their life, but then why do I have to receive the critical snobbish attitude that states that I am a bad person because I'm not living life according to their standards?

Then these individuals have to guts to call themselves, open-minded.

It must be really a fad for some people. The same people 10 years ago, used to like the Goth stuff, and suddenly they became rockers, Wiccan, dark and I don't know what else.

Now New Age. Just seriously?

We go through fads and phases in life, but one should live and let live.

I like comfort due to health issues, and I work and pay for the comfort, so why that makes me a materialistic bitch?

More time passes and the more I'm realizing that people don't read between the lines. If I criticize an attitude that I don't like, why do you have to feel offended and say: I'm not this and that? Did I mention your name? Do I even know you?

Some really take things too seriously. Some of us know when there is a personal "attack". However, that rarely happens, I guess. Everyone is just instigating too much fear in the general population. With such fear, some tend to forget to use logic. I'm just saying, by the way.

Bullshit.

The amount of bullshit have to see on-line is incredible.

People thinking they're divas 'cause they take a million selfies and edit'em

People who are constantly criticizing everything, like every book, series and movie, 'cause they believe they're intellectuals. No disliking everything doesn't make you intelligent. I know someone who criticized a children's movie because she said it's anti-feminist. As if children know the meaning of this word. In the mean time she watched romantic with the happy ending anti feminist anime, but that's OK because she liked it. They also say TV makes people stupid, but I've learned a lot from it.

People who think they're bright because they read. So if you read romantic novels you're intelligent? I know people who don't read, yet are still intelligent, because they're street smart and learned from life instead from the books.

I also thought that, at a certain age people wouldn't mind labels and peer pressure. But no, I still meet adults who never gotten out of the phase of labeling. Seriously, at the age of 30 people argue because a scene is better than the other? Seriously?

Also calling someone a nerd for going to the Comic Con? People still have this idea? In the meantime, the Internet was labeled nerdy in the 90s, now it's the cool thing.

I think I need another long break from Facebook.

You know, it became a fad lately to say to others to be positive and other new age stuff. Nothing against these peeps as long as they're real, but suddenly it became a fad, and I doubt how many are reaal. I can understand teens trying to fit in, but jebus adults? Lol!

Anyway people who are always bubbly, happy, repetitive, honestly they annoy me. They think they're liked by everyone, but not me for sure.

P.s this a real life rant not vr

lol

This "thought" really has been around for a longtime. Simply look at the creative writing in the Christian Bible, when it speaks of faith.

The so-called "new thought" movement simply cash in on it. Is it wrong? Well, there isn't much wrong with telling people to be happy or upbeat. As a matter of fact, most employers would like to have happy upbeat people.

I have read material from the 1800s imparting the same upbeat message. So as I said this stuff is not new

Maybe it is the key?

The universe is marvelous and we are all connected (of course, I would joyfully sever some of the connections. ROTFL).

Yea there is a point were it becomes cliche, and almost flippant with some people. Someone ask you, "What's wrong?" so you take the time to relate your whoas, and the person simply comes back with "Be positive."

Like when I tell theist that I am an atheist and they say.. Well I'll pray for you." It is clearly connived "Fuck You."

I'm generally pretty happy and upbeat, and believe that usually comes from non-stop positivity. It's not a "fit in" thing, or a "I am loved by all" - it's... in my case, genuine happiness. I think it's actually pretty opposite of "fitting in" or "loved by all".

I don't see how letting go of negativity and trying to be positive, finding something good in everything, is a bad thing. It raises your feelings - it just makes you happier - and who doesn't want to be happier?

Buddhists base a huge amount of their philosophy on it, and it works just fine - just letting go of bad feelings and emotions and embracing the good.

It's not a a bad thing, and indeed I did not say that but as usual I got misunderstood. I'm just annoyed at these cliché' phrases and people expecting everyone to be like them. You know, not everyone can be like that, and not everyone wants to. I for example don't want to be a happy hippie, and the least thing I want for anyone to tell me is: be positive.

If I can be happy with something, that is freedom, not because someone tells me to stay positive, and switch on a mood of happiness.

Being happy is subjective, yet many people detect ways on how you should be happy. Examples of these are: why don't you get a higher paid career, why don't you settle, why don't you try this hobby, why don't you go out and get drunk, why don't you read this, watch this, listen to this questions, as well as phrases like: Be positive, (as if a phrase can switch on a happy mood), believe in God, volunteer, help others, do this, do that... No you can't detect rules on this issue because we're all individuals thus we can be happy in our own ways. I for example am happy when I go to the beach, when I can wake up late, stay up late, and other small things.

Yet people detect rules on how to be happy, but I am me not them.
